Ranklog is operated by Alexander Hinze, Ludwigshöheweg 34, 12559 Berlin, Germany (info@ranklog.de). VAT identification number pursuant to § 27a UStG: DE300857422. These Terms of Service govern access to and use of the Ranklog web application available at ranklog.de.
Ranklog is offered exclusively to entrepreneurs within the meaning of § 14 BGB, to legal entities under public law and to special funds under public law. Contracts are not concluded with consumers (§ 13 BGB). By registering you confirm that you are entering into this contract in the course of your commercial or independent professional activity.
By registering an account, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the service. These Terms apply to all users, including free and paid plan holders.
The product and pricing information on ranklog.de constitutes a non-binding offer subject to change. A binding contract is formed when Ranklog accepts your registration request or fulfills its first contractual obligation (e.g. activating your account). Ranklog is entitled to store data uploaded or entered by the customer within the system for the purpose of providing the service.
Ranklog is a keyword rank tracking tool that automatically checks Google search positions for user-defined keywords and domains on a daily basis. Features include:
Ranklog supports Google only. Tracking is performed once per day; on-demand checks are not available. The service is provided "as is" without guarantees regarding the completeness or accuracy of ranking data, which depends on third-party APIs (see Section 13).
You must provide a valid email address and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Accounts may not be shared between multiple organizations; each tenant represents one organization. You must be at least 18 years old to register. You agree to keep your contact email address current so that we can send legally required notices.
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial, starting from the date of registration, during which up to 10 keywords can be tracked at no cost.
The trial period is fixed to 7 days from registration and is not affected by account activity or login frequency. This policy may be adjusted at any time with reasonable notice.
Ranklog offers a free trial and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance. As Ranklog contracts exclusively with business customers, all prices are net amounts exclusive of value added tax; the applicable statutory VAT is calculated and added at checkout.
We reserve the right to adjust pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new prices.
You may cancel your subscription at any time in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refund is issued for the remaining period on voluntary cancellation.
As Ranklog contracts exclusively with entrepreneurs (Section 2), there is no statutory right of withdrawal. You may delete your account at any time; account data is deleted within 30 days as described in the Privacy Policy.
You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. In case of suspension or termination for cause:
For minor or first-time violations, we will generally issue a warning before suspending.
Ranklog and all associated software, design and content are the property of Alexander Hinze. Your data (keywords, domains, ranking results) remains your property. You grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the service.
Ranklog guarantees an average monthly availability of 97% for the web application. This SLA applies to Ranklog's own infrastructure only and explicitly excludes downtime caused by third-party services (see Section 13), scheduled maintenance, or force majeure events (see Section 15).
If availability falls below this threshold in a given calendar month for reasons within our control, affected paid users may request a credit of 20% of their monthly fee, applied to the next invoice. Credits must be requested within 30 days of the incident by emailing info@ranklog.de.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice by email of significant changes that affect paid users.
Ranklog relies on third-party search data providers to retrieve Google search results. Ranking data reflects what these APIs return and may not be exhaustive or perfectly accurate. We are not responsible for outages, changes, or inaccuracies caused by these providers or by Google, and such events do not count against the availability SLA in Section 12. In the event that a critical third-party service becomes permanently unavailable, we will notify users as soon as possible and assess the impact on service continuity.
We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act (Produkthaftungsgesetz).
In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of a material contractual obligation, meaning an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of this contract and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In such cases our liability is limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time the contract was concluded, and in no event exceeds the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Any further liability is excluded. In particular we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profit, or business decisions made on the basis of ranking information. Ranking data is retrieved from third-party sources (Section 13) and is provided without any warranty as to its completeness or accuracy. The above limitations also apply to our legal representatives and vicarious agents.
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, acts of government, internet outages, power failures, or failures of third-party infrastructure providers. We will make reasonable efforts to resume service as soon as possible and will communicate the situation to affected users.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with this contract is Berlin, Germany, provided you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Ranklog regarding the service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.
For any questions regarding these Terms, please contact info@ranklog.de.
